The Difference between Quality That Can be attained in Photos Taken with a Digital Camera vs. Regular Camera

We can know the main difference between the qualities that can be obtained in photos taken from a digital camera versus the regular camera if we study how the image is obtained and processed.

Traditional cameras or regular cameras use film. A picture taken on film is composed of numerous, tiny, light-sensitive silver-halide crystals that are chemically-processed in order for the image to appear on paper whereas a picture recorded digitally is made up of numerous, tiny, light-sensitive pixels that form an image that can be viewed on a viewing screen of some digital cameras or on a computer’s monitor.

Photos taken by digital cameras are always much clearer, sharper and of high resolution compared to that of traditional cameras. The color and brightness of photos shot from digital camera’s get adjusted through the sensor which also depends on the distance and the size of the lens aperture. Digital cameras produce better quality pictures with higher pixel size.

Theoretically equality of photo quality is about 16 megapixel for a 35 MM sensor. So it’s still a long time when photos from traditional cameras would have the same quality and resolution as that of digital cameras.

Moreover it is possible to enhance the photo quality and resolution of digital photos through the use of software but incase of photo’s taken by traditional cameras their quality can only be enhanced by converting them into digital form by scanning them into a computers memory.
